Commodian — Instructiones 12
If Invictus born from a rock is held a god, now therefore I am silent; you give the prior from these! The rock conquered the god — the rock’s creator must be sought. Moreover you still paint him to be a thief, though if he were a god he would certainly not live by theft. He was earthly for sure and of a monstrous nature, and he kept turning others’ oxen in caves, just as that Cacus, Vulcan’s son, also did.
Latin
12 INVICTUS.
